"How you doing?" Beth shouted into my ear.

"Better than I expected," I admitted as a guy brushed past me on his way to the bar. The club was busy and the music was loud; I thought I might have freaked out, but I was dealing with it well. On the inside I screamed whenever a guy touched me, but on the outside you never would have thought something was wrong.

"Atta girl," Beth grinned and passed me a shot.

I smiled and took it.

A few hours later I was relatively sober. It was my first night out since it happened and part of me wanted to stay sober...
