“I came to pick something.” She replied with all the courage she could muster as she tried not to stutter.

“From my phone?” He asked, stepping out of the restroom completely.

She lowered her gaze quietly to the floor to avoid seeing his harsh glares on her.

“Well, I heard a buzz and I decided to check if it was from someone important.” She said, hoping to sound convincing enough.

She closed her eyes tight in fear when he began taking strides towards her. He stopped right in front of her and picked up his phone from the bed.
