I gazed at my son when he said that, and suddenly I felt my appetite vanish in an instant.

"What are you saying, Dean? Who told you that?" I inquired, noticing the anger brewing on his face. It seemed like he was upset about me not revealing the identity of his father, but perhaps it was for the best that he remained unaware.

"You know very well that your dad, the former Alpha of our pack, is deceased. Who has been filling your head with these lies?" I questioned, observing a mix of sadness and confusion in Dean's eyes. I tried to remain calm to avoid further upsetting him....
