"Hey," Sergio mutters, placing a soft kiss on the side of her head.

"Please don't cry anymore. Please."

But Serena does not want to listen to him.

She squeezes her eyes shut, her hands clutching his shirt tightly as if she wanted to pull him away from her. But instead of separating, he holds her tighter, kissing the side of her head once more.

"I'm here," he repeats softly.

"I'm here. Don't cry." This time, she does cry.

"Shh." Daniel strokes her hair gently, pulling her even closer to him.

"Let it out. Let it all out."

Serena cries quietly, burying her face further into Daniel's chest as tears continue...
