Pain that's the first thing I can register. Pain all over my body and mostly on my neck. My eyes shift around behind my closed lids as I fight to open them. I need to wake up but it seems so impossible to do. I shift in and out of unconsciousness till my eyelids finally flatter open. The bright light blinds me making me squint my eyes shut.

“ Wake up baby.” His voice cools. I feel his large hand holding my smaller and the sparks that ignite tell me exactly who it is.
