A hand burst out of the water, grabbing me by the arm and yanking me face-first into the ice-cold water. I held my breath as the hand dragged me lower and lower into the depths of the pool. As the light began to fade, my lungs filled with pressure and it wasn’t long before they felt like they were going to explode.
