Christmas arrived, and our senior year was flying by. Nash and I were closer than ever, including the rest of the Gray family. Life with the Grays became second nature, except that it took little for me to become a family member. I bickered like a sibling, which I became excellent.

“Nah, nah, nah, you can’t catch me.” Nolan gave me a raspberry.

I chased him for stealing another bra. “Want to bet?”

“I bet you five bucks she catches him,” Nixon told Nash.

They stood in Nash’s doorway, watching us.

“I’ll take that bet,” Nash said.
