Who in their right mind thought sending us to Las Vegas was a magnificent idea? Oh, that’s right, we did.

We booked a flight to Vegas, hoping it would be faster than driving. Everyone kept staring at me.

“What?” I asked.

“Um, nothing,” they said.

Everyone was acting weird. I stood there while checking the flight times.

“Um, Maggie?” Kat was standing next to me.

“Yeah?”

As she opened her mouth, Nixon and Nash walked over.

“Oh, no, no, no. There’s no ruining Nash’s surprise, missy.” Nixon put his hand over her mouth and dragged her away.
