I wasn’t sure how to feel. Was it too soon? Is it too intense? Is Michael too old for me? Ugh, I hated this. I felt like I was betraying Daniel.

I threw myself onto my bed. I was so confused. I’m having feelings for Michael that I shouldn’t have. I know he said we would take it slow, but I didn’t know what to do.

My door opened, and someone laid down next to me.

“No offense, but if you smother yourself, you’re doing it wrong,” Larkin said.

I turned to face her.

“I’m just saying.”

I placed my face back into the pillow....
