I wanted to spend time with Josie without interruptions. I picked her up and drove until I turned onto a dirt road, pulling up to a spot. I parked the car and got out.

“Where are we?” Josie asked, getting out of the car.

I popped the trunk then pulled out a blanket and picnic basket, closing the trunk lid.

“I thought we could have a picnic without dealing with my family,” I mentioned, making Josie smile.
