I wake with a stirring that is very unfamiliar to me. My chest heaves from my heavy breaths and my body is drenched in sweat. I sit up in bed quickly, trying to regain my breath.

The room is dark, but with my werewolf sight I am still able to see somewhat. I reach for the lamp on the nightstand and switch it on. With my arm I wipe away the residue that has formed on my head and look at the body rising and falling soundly beside me.
