Realizing that I had gone through life feeling alone and struggling through everything on my own wasn’t because I was alone in the world.

Nor was it because I didn’t have a family that cared for me. It was because a group of people had decided to serve injustice on a platter and make my life a living hell to serve whatever purpose they considered proper.

I stared at the file sitting in my lap as tears formed at the corners of my eyes, and memories of the life I had led flashed through my mind.

Everything would’ve been easier, or at least there would have been a smidge...
