"Brother. I'm sick and tired of staying in. I want to go back to school." Adolpha spoke to Anton, who had come to see her earlier that day. She found it exhausting to spend the entire time in a house.

Avery had called her the previous evening to check on her and to find out why she hadn't been to school for a week. Adolpha had lied, claiming she had left on vacation and would return quickly.

She detested having to tell Avery a lie, but if Avery learned the truth, she would withdraw, and Adolpha didn't want that.
