The first beam of sunlight hit the ground, letting a yellow light cover everything on this battlefield. Suddenly I realized what a foolhardy adventure we'd launched, and with my tongue tied, my words hung in the air for the wind to snatch away from me, already depleted by pursed lips that had scarcely moments prior sent those rogues scurrying off into their cowardly flight.
