Lucian’s POV
The morning light was soft. It wasn’t too bright or sharp. It came in gently through the curtains, touching the room like a whisper. The edges of the white bedsheets glowed softly. The pale wall across from me looked warm instead of cold. And beside me, the shape of Siena sleeping was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
Roman was curled up between us. His little body was warm and still, except for the slow rise and fall of his chest as he breathed. One of his hands was clutched tightly into Siena’s shirt, like he needed to hold on to her even in his dreams....
