I lasted exactly two hours.
That was all I could handle. Just two hours of trying to sit still, of pretending to be focused while my heart felt like it had shattered into sharp pieces inside my chest. I sat in that boardroom during the video meeting with the London team, staring at the screen like I understood what was happening, but my brain wasn’t really there. I was smiling at the wrong times. I was answering questions either too late or not at all.
