I waited for about 2 hours after they left. Then I threw off my apron and pulled a hoodie over my head.
I made sure the hood covered my face, then, I slipped up the stairs, locking the back door behind me as I stepped into outside. A dark thrill of adrenaline rushed through me because I finally had the chance to make my next move.
