The words lingered in the air. Zyran stood by the doors, adjusting his cuffs, waiting for me to obey. He looked calm, like someone who has just won everything.
Something inside me snapped.
A hot, blinding rage exploded in my chest, burning away every ounce of fear I had left.
I grabbed the folder off his desk. I didn’t just throw it. I hurled it directly at his chest with all my strength.
