"Are you sure Daddy is not mad at me, Mama?" Lorna asked, pulling her blanket up to her chin, her eyes were still wide with fear.
"I am very sure, my sweet bug. Daddy is just having a hard day at work," I whispered as I sat on the edge of her bed and stroked her hair. I tried to keep my voice calm and soothing so she would feel safe.
