STELLA’S POV

I've been wet for three hours.

Three hours of watching Jonah across the crowded apartment, his sleeves rolled up, his glasses catching the light, laughing at something someone said while a girl I don't recognize keeps finding excuses to touch his arm, his chest, lean into him like she has any right to be that close.

She doesn't.

He's mine.

Except he's not, because I've never told him, because we're just friends, because four years of loving him in secret has turned me into a coward who smiles and pretends my heart isn't breaking every time he mentions a date...
