In the midnight, I woke Rudrani up.

"What?" She said in sleep.

"Happy Birthday, Rudrani," I said and she opened her eyes. I stood before her with a cake in my hands but she threw away the cake. I thought she was angry with me.

Her face showed fear and sadness but there is no single sign of happiness. She pushed me away all of a sudden. I don't think it's anger at me. Why is she panicked?

"Rudrani, are you okay?" I asked as I didn't understand what happened to her. She looked around as if she was examining the surroundings.
