Headlights from the first vehicle manned by the Rangers turn night into day as it moves slowly along the dirt track towards the banana plantation, throwing panic into a group of warthog ambling along the road, and sending them crashing into the thick brush and to safety. The vehicle arrives at the village and does a slow turn, its beam shining out through the curtain of darkness, but falls short of the two males as they lie undisturbed in front of the hut, and then moves off back down the dirt track.
