Wind whips around them and drives the rain into their faces as they stagger towards the safety of the Land Rover. David is bleeding badly from his torn right arm and the pain lances through him, Adele and Peggy support him as the vehicles loom out of the darkness. They hear the shriek of the demon behind them, and the mad laughter of a man that has just gone over the edge, driven there by his desire for vengeance.
