Late night had stretched into the early hours and the bedroom was quiet except for the sound of both of us still breathing hard. We lay tangled in the sheets, sweaty and spent, my leg thrown over his and his arm heavy across my back.

My hole still throbbed from the last round and I could feel the slow leak of his come sliding out of me onto the mattress.

I stared at the ceiling for a long time without speaking. The denial that had been sitting in my mouth all night finally felt too thin to hold onto.
