Natalie woke up in the morning, hugging Dante’s body. Her head was on his bare chest. She blinked a few times, looked up, and saw that the man’s eyes were still closed. Even so, she wasn’t sure Dante was still sleeping.

 

“Are you awake?” Natalie whispered.

 

“Hmm.” Dante only mumbled. His hands stroked Natalie’s hair and head without opening his eyes.

 

Natalie was too lazy to get up. She pressed her ear against Dante’s chest and listened to his heartbeat with her eyes closed. Her heart and mind felt very comfortable and peaceful.
