That morning, Natalie helped Dante to get ready, like a wife, or maybe an assistant. She pampered him and served him so well that it surprised him.
“What’s wrong with you?” Dante asked.
Natalie smiled and shook her head. “Nothing,” she said as she put on Dante’s tie.
Dante looked at her deeply. After she finished adjusting his tie, he took her left hand and noticed the scar on her palm.
“Looks like you’re fully healed,” she commented.
“Right.” Natalie nodded.
The man kissed the back of her hand and turned to pick up his bag. “I’m not having breakfast. Alex is waiting for me downstairs.”
