He did not know what to say either so he joined his warm hand with her cold one and tried to take her in, but she would not go with him.

J'onn faced her. She shrugged her hand loose from his and was about to wipe her tears off with it, but he beat her to it. He brought his hand up to her face and wiped her tears off with his thumb.

"Let's go inside."

She shook her head without speaking at once.

"Why?"
