LIA’S POV

I had just snuck back in when I heard a knock on the door. For a moment, my mind jumped and I wondered if anyone had seen me. I took off the clothings I wore, stuffed them into my wardrobe and slipped into my night dress.

“Enter,” I called out as I climbed into bed.

Luckily it was only Clara.

“The Alpha is here to see you,” Clara announced.

My body stiffened. The thought that Derrick was right behind the door to see me after he had just captured my innocent father made my inside churned. How could I face him with the way I was feeling inside?...
