Lia’s POV

I had been followed. Pushing myself up from where I sat, I started to leave the woods. Then I sighted it–a figure. A man figure. He must have intended to hide behind the tree bark. But obviously it was a failed attempt. His body was on the large side giving him away easily.

I could feel my heart pounding because that was the only track path which I could follow to leave the woods. Holding my breath as I walked past there while keeping my face straight to pretend I didn't know he was there.
