“… do you understand?” Ferguson asked Alfred, who’s staring right back at him with a confused expression.

His (Alfred’s) boss has just explained how he wanted the audition to be like, and he (Alfred) couldn’t help but wonder if his new boss is in his right mind.

“Alfred?”

“Yes, sir, I understand everything” he answered, then blinked a few times. “But I have a doubt…”
