I was only Lewis' pretend mate, and I was completely aware that our relationship was based on an agreement. Although he marked me, we were never truly mated to each other.

That was the thought that instantly came into my mind when I saw that Lewis was over at the flower stands of the Flower Hall. And when I realized that he was standing near the pretty human model, I felt an ache inside my heart. Subconsciously, I ignored his eyes and pretended to focus on something else.

'He never got close to anyone and ignored everyone else before... why is he near them and talking to them?'...
