"Oh, and then we can go for a walk on the beach," Grayson said with a smile. "Sound like a plan?"

I looked up at him, causing him to frown immediately. "Grayson, what if the surgery doesn't work?" I asked.

Grayson rested his head on mine. "I know you're scared," he said. "But they know what they're doing. It's going to go great and you'll be able to walk again in no time. And we can do everything that we hadn't been able to do. Sound like a plan?"

I gave him a faint smile. "Yeah, it does."

Grayson kissed my forehead. "Good. And I promise we'll take things easy....
