She had known that he had been feeling rather insecure ever since their father had left home, and she had wondered whether he was still feeling insecure now that it was clear that his father had left them for good. She knew that his behaviour today must have been very confusing to him, but she was determined to find out more about it. Maybe he would tell her something that she would be able to use later.
