Irina's point of view:

I woke up to an empty bed. My husband was nowhere. His side was empty. What was I expecting? I was expecting him to be on the bed.

I should have known this was going to happen.

It is not like he cares about me. It is not like we love or care for each other so I shouldn't be disappointed.

But why did I feel hurt?

That's a question I couldn't answer.

I stood up from the chair and went to the toilet to freshen up....
