It’s been over a week since returning to my pack, and I finally received an invitation to my sister’s ceremony. Can’t believe Alaia’s going to be a Luna of a pack in a few days. I won’t lie and say I’m not a little jealous of her finding her mate, but I will be happy for her. Even if this was a little fast.

Returning home without a mate was disappointing, but having a small pack was useful. We were all like a close-knit family. No one made me feel inadequate or said anything about the interrupted marriage plans. Well, almost everybody.
