Her anger grew when she saw Dylan’s face. “You! You’re—” she didn’t finish it when Dylan covered her mouth with his soft hand and pulled her closer to him.

“Shh,” he said and looked at her intently.

She was about to protest when the door was opened again and it show three armed men.

Her eyes widened and thanks to Dylan’s reflexes as they manage to hide a few meters away from the door.

The three men passed through them and were completely gone. But the loud beat of her heart didn’t.
