Victoria came home later than expected, heels clicking across the entryway floor, the faint scent of her perfume trailing behind her. She dropped her bag on the console table and smiled when she found Elena and Marcus in the living room—Elena curled on the couch in a soft sweater and jeans, Marcus in the armchair with a glass of whiskey.
