I had not expected a lot of things to happen today, but the surprise that definitely topped the rest was my husband telling me that he wanted a divorce after what seemed like a perfect date.

I stared at him with my mouth wide open because my jaw was too weak to keep it closed.

My brain and my mouth battled together to think of the most suitable thing to say at that moment, but nothing made any sense at all, and I was still trying to wrap my head around what he said in the first place:e: he wanted the divorce.

Why? We have been getting along...
