The sun was starting to set when I stirred awake. My body felt a little better now, but still sore, my chest heaving lightly as I turned around. The drapes were wide open, the lights dim, and the ambience calm.
I turned, and Florian was standing by the dresser, his back to me. I don't think he knew I was awake, his phone to his ear.
