"I scared myself," Julian admitted. "What happened? Everything went black in the ambulance."

"Your blood pressure dropped," I explained. "They've been running tests."

Julian looked at all the wires and machines. "Was it my heart?" he asked quietly.

"They don't know yet," I said honestly.

The door opened and a doctor walked in, a man in his fifties with gray hair and tired eyes. "Mr. Cross," he greeted. "I'm Dr. Patterson, how are you feeling?"

"Like I got hit by a truck," Julian said.

Dr. Patterson pulled up a stool and sat down, a tablet in his hands. "Your EKG came back normal," he said. "No signs of heart...
