Flora's POV

I wake up to the soft light streaming through the window and the faint sounds of Aurora giggling downstairs. For a moment, I just lie there, staring at the ceiling, gathering my thoughts. Today is the day.

Pushing the blankets off, I get up and freshen up quickly before heading downstairs. My mother is in the kitchen, feeding Aurora, who claps her tiny hands excitedly when she sees me.

“Good morning, sweetheart,” I coo, pressing a kiss to her forehead before turning to my mother. “Thank you for taking care of her.”
