Brian had planned to drive Diana home after her class. However, Simon called him as he was on the way.

“Hello?” he answered abruptly.

“Take Sybil to my house for dinner tonight,” Simon stated in his usual bossy way. He then ended the call before Brian even had the chance to turn him down. All he could do was change his direction and drive back to pick up Sybil.
