After Mrs. Garcia successfully obtained the contract from Simon’s study, Kyle drove to the factory where Carol was keeping Diana. On the way, he called to calm her down.

“Kyle, I’m going to call Brian.” Carol’s patience was running out.

Kyle implored her to wait for him, but she had kidnapped Diana to get a reaction out of Brian. That was all she wanted.
