I was thrown off balance by his words.

I couldn't believe that I meant something to me.

My heart swelled in pride, and I couldn't contain my excitement. Throwing cautions into the wind, I wrapped my arms around him, squeezing him in a tight embrace. Tears hung in my eyes as I started to get emotional.
