Pedro did not know if it was anger seething through him or perpetual shame or embarrassment or perhaps the shock of seeing Tessa, But he sure knew that the afternoon sun had become even harsher with the embarrassment, he hated the way it glinted off GenMark’s mirrored façade as he strode up to the revolving doors of the foreign investment giant with security men escorting him out like a cheap prostitute.

When he came, he had come to close a deal worth millions—his ambition, his empire, all at stake but being escorted out like a battered street dog was unnerving.
