The energy was different when they arrived at the house; it was something Tessa could not explain about the Lorenzo mansion.

Maybe because she had not been in the house for a couple of days, for weird reasons, weird thoughts of her child running around the house crept into her mind. She shut out such thoughts as quickly as they came.

As the door clicked shut behind them, it dawned on Tessa that it had been a slippery couple of months and she had not heard from Aunt Norah. It didn’t make any sense to her why Pedro had refused to let her see her aunt.
