The Long tables were dressed in immaculate white cloth, adorned with fine china and silver wares, freshly plucked fruits in between.
At the head of the table sat Dame Rossa, and to her right, Regina was seated, their expressions stern, unassuming and watchful as they awaited Don Pedro’s arrival.
At that moment, the doors swung open.
