Tessa lay propped up against the soft pillows of her thin sick bed, whitelights flood lights now bleeding faintly through the long white curtains.
A mild headache persisted, and though she longed for proper rest, sleep eluded her. She shifted slightly, trying to ease the pressure in her lower back.
