Franco stepped outside the hospital building, his phone clutched tightly in his hand.

His jaw was clenched, his mind spinning.

He had just watched Regina walk away with Pablo, calling him “daddy” with a softness he hadn’t heard in weeks.

Something inside him twisted—not just from jealousy, but from guilt. Still, he had a duty to fulfil.

He swiped across Pedro’s contact and pressed the phone to his ear.

The line rang twice before Pedro picked up.

“Franco,” Pedro’s voice came sharp, impatient. “I’m in a meeting. What is it?”

Franco hesitated for a beat. The next words needed to come out right. “Sir, it’s about Madam Tessa.”...
