"You can go in now, ma'am," the receptionist said to Jane who smiled at her and then stared towards Marcus's office door.

She remembered the last time she had shown up at his office, unannounced, and how her life had taken a rougher turn after she caught him and Abigail together in his office. She quickly brushed the thought aside and took in a deep breath as she reached his door and knocked.

"Come in," Marcus said and Jane did so.
